I have an 18 lb dog, I bought a 40 lb bag of Costco’s Kirkland Premium Dog food and stored the food in an airtight food contrainer. It is going to take him about 3 months to eat all of that food. How long will the food stay good?
The expiration date is 3/2010

What is the human equivalent to dog food or cat food?
August 30th, 2010
admin I find it remarkable that a dog or a cat can live a long healthy life by eating only one thing their whole lives. My cats eat nothing but Purina Indoor Formula dry cat food. They’ve been doing it for years, and they seem healthy and happy. Apparently, this one food has everything they need.
Why isn’t there something like that for people–an all purpose food? It seems like it would be the perfect thing for college students and other people who live in financial dire straights because you could make it really cheap. Maybe you could even have it in different flavors for the sake of variety.

How to stop my dog from being food aggressive?
August 26th, 2010
admin My 7 month old lab puppy is a little food aggresive, but it’s not nessecarily her dog food, but any bone she really enjoys. Like, if you go to take it from her she’ll either go off into her kennel, or bark, sometimes she snaps, but she doesn’t bite, fortunately. I’m sure it’s still food aggression though. Do you have any ideas on how to make her stop this behavior, since we have a lot of young relatives and it doesn’t seem safe, still. My younger brother is terrified when she barks at him.
