Recipes for dogs? PLEASE! Get some ground beef and brown it. Get the cheapest cuts of beef and brown it as chunks. Get boneless chicken breasts and cook those as you would for a person. Let them cool down. The dog will love you to death for it. You DON’T want to give dogs spices. A salad will make the dog sick. Just kill the normal bacteria in the meats as you would for yourself. NO SPICES. NO $5 to $10 a pound steaks! Hell, cans of SPAM will make a dog extremely happy.
For cats use normal cans of tuna. My cats also liked SPAM and of all things potato chips. I did have one cat that would not eat steak or chicken breast. But he loved potato chips.
T-bone steak…they’ll love you and love it…don’t your pets deserve the best?
Iams dry cat and dog food does not contain any wheat gluton and is safe to eat and is not affected by the recall.
Make it a burger!
Purina was not on the list.
The scare is over, try to relax.

People food is not good for pets.
It’s got to much salt for thier kidney’s.
Dog food is really pretty easy to make. There are books out there and *tons* of links. One of my favorite is here: http://iupucbio2.iupui.edu/bml/homecooking.html
You are smart to do this will all the food recalls lately (remember the big Diamond food recall last year?). Another to do is avoid commercial foods with corn, wheat and barley as those grains are ones most likely to have problems for pets (and that goes for parts of it like gluten).
boiled chicken and rice is a complete diet for dogs.
thats a great idea.. i think i will start doing that!
If you can wait for a while, someone is planning to start a show to show people how to cook for their pets! The funny side though is people may not cook for themselves but may do so for their pets in the light of the recent pet food scare! Sounds interesting?
there is nothing wrong with good quality commercial food, especially biscuits. Most of it is nutritionally balanced. If you are still concerned, go to a veterinary. Many of them now sell pet food. Or you could talk to a few breeders and ask them what they use.
hamburg steamed rice egg mix cook till meats brown They love it
This may sound odd, but while your in the process of looking up good recipies, feed your dogs boiled eggs. They like them, and they wont hurt them or anything.
WHY??? why feed them anything? I have 3 dogs and a cat, and I let them fend for themselves, the way nature intended.
I may throw them a few table scraps now and then, but for the most part what they catch is what they eat.
HONESTLY I WOULD SAY TO BUY LEAN MEAT, MAKE SURE YOU COOK IT WITHOUT OILS, AND COOK IT WITHOUT SEASONINGS. BOIL THE MEAT, AND TRIM ALL FAT OFF THE MEAT. COOK POTATOES AND RICE MIX IT TOGETHER WITH VEGETABLES. KIND OF MAKE IT CHUNKY MIXED WITH RICE AND THE VEGGIES YOU THINK WOULD HELP GIVE FLAVOR WITHOU SEASONINGS, LIKE CARROTS, CELERY. BUT NO OILS IN IT. I THINK THAT WILL BE HEALTHY FOR YOUR DOG TO EAT…I KNOW DOGS ARE DYING DUE TO BAD MIXTURE OF JUNK IN THE FOOD…
I WOULD SAY MAYBE A LITTLE SALT FOR FLAVOR LIKE A PINCH.
TO KEEP ANY DOG HEALTHY, BUY THE DOG VITAMINS THEY SELL VITAMINS FOR ANIMALS TO HELP THEM WITH THEIR EATING DIET TO HELP KEEP THEM IN GREAT SHAPE…
you can buy cheap pet mince from you butcher then cook it. for 1kg of mince add 1kg frozen mixed vegies 1kg rice and 2 eggs for shiney coat. Its healthy doesnt cost much and you know whats in it. My dog loves it and it can be frozen
There are a whole bunch..follow the link
My mother feeds her dogs a homemade concoction of white rice and boiled chicken and broth. Then she gives them dog vitamins purchased from the vet. Simple to make and not that expensive. Must work pretty good too, her dogs are 10 and 14 years old.
How about if you look at the ingredients of commercial dog food and recreate it without all the artificial stuff and preservatives? I mean, see if for ex. it has carrots and meat and so on.
home cooking is easy, you just have to be sure you provide a balanced diet. Learning about dog nutrition is an interesting subject and you will find the more you learn, the more you want to know. Here are a few sites to start:

I dont know of any links but i make my own dogfood. I use 500gram (1pound) of minced beef, 1 sheep or ox liver, 1cup of rice, 1 cup of pasta chopped vegetable 2 to 3cups includes peas beans celery, celery leaves pumkin sweet potato and 1 large potato diced. My dog can always find the carrot unless i shred it. add 2 stock cubes cover with water bring to the boil and simmer for about 30 minutes. Dogs of all sizes find this very palatable and most vets will agree this is a suitable meal
Go to your local meat shop and see if they have any extra parts for cheep you can buy in bulk, slow cook it in a crock pot don’t add any extra stuff in it. While it is hot put it in canning jars. For dogs you can add stuff like rice, peas and carrots. For cats canned tuna is fine or any of your meats are good, but cats are strictly carnivores so just feed them meat.
